Lovely cottage-style beach house apartment in circa 1880 two-family home in Victorian Ocean Grove.

Updated and beautifully decorated with period pieces and reproductions. Two bedrooms, sleeps 4 comfortably with 2 pullout sofas for occasional overnight guests. Ocean views, lots of windows, light and airy. Ceiling fans and air conditioners throughout. High Speed internet keeps you connected to the world wide web, so you can bring your work with you (only if you have to, of course)!

Ocean Grove is a charming place to relax and decompress from the hectic Northeast pace.

Well-located on a pretty street on the desirable South end of the boardwalk, the beach house is also close to the fishing pier and steps away from the showers and facilities on the uncluttered, uncommercial boardwalk. Playground and tennis court nearby.

About Ocean Grove:

The town of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, is on the National Register of Historic Places. A visit to this historic enclave is like stepping back to another era, when the pace was slower and pleasures simpler.

Just a 5-minute walk from the beach house, you will find antique shops, art galleries, a fully-restored soda fountain, an old- fashioned, but well-stocked market, not one, but two ice cream parlors in operation since the turn of the century, two wonderful bakeries, a terrific cheese shop and other excellent places to shop and dine. Walk a little farther to Asbury Park and enjoy the boardwalk renaissance with lots of shops and miniature golf. After a great day at the beach, enjoy the fine new restaurants and shopping on the redeveloped Cookman Avenue and surrounding streets.

Best of all, the beach is just steps away from your beach house vacation! Roll up your pants and comb the beach for sand dollars and shells!

Enjoy the free Saturday organ concerts, the weekly entertainment series at the Great Auditorium, old-fashioned band concerts on the boardwalk on Wednesday nights, classical music series, Centennial cottage tour (highly recommended for a look at life at the turn of the 20th century), the Ocean Grove Historical Society museum, teddy bear teas, craft workshops, organized beach activities and so much more.

You will truly feel transported to another place and time. Since everything is within walking distance, you can park the car and not move it again until you leave. In addition, Ocean Grove is convenient to shore train (Bradley Beach or Asbury Park stations) and bus from NYC stops right on Main Street in town.
